All control unit housings are made from 100% recycled polycarbonate with UV inhibitors—the same tough, flexible material used in safety glass—built to withstand long-term outdoor exposure.
Each MK-8 Solar Control Unit includes a 6 volt rechargeable battery, 6 volt solar panel with stainless steel cable, small cone, cutting template, and mounting hardware.

After most of my hunts last year involved a Moultrie feeder that was malfunctioning, I switched to spincast and never looked back. Little pricey but you get what you pay for. Solid unit, easy to program, and great customer service. I can’t say enough how nice it is to call and first, speak to an actual human, and second, speak to a human that speaks English as a first language. I’ll never buy another brand of feeder motor again.
Unit arrived without the solar wire harness. Called customer service and they were very helpful and shipped me the missing piece straight away.
Spin cast feeders are by far the best timers my last two timers lasted almost 28 years and would still be going if the pigs didn't knock them over.. I will never buy a different feeder timer.
I first bought a Spin cast unit back in 2000. I don't even think they had a MK-1 designation back then. The unit worked perfectly for the past 25 years. Finally the circuit board got fried and it was time to get a new one. I immediatly went online and bought an MK-8 solar 6-volt unit. I'm 72, so if I get another 25 years out of this new one, I'll be setting a new record for elderly hunters! Great product! and so simple to operate a senior can do it!
